Dear bodies,
Welcome to the very first installment of the OBO Body/Work interview series! It’s a series where I talk to my friends about our bodies (broadly defined) and our work (broadly defined).
Now. Do I know much at all about sound? No. I bought some microphones. It sounds…strange. Almost like the sound is worse with them than without them? I’m working on it. (Let me know if you know more than I do about this.)
Do I know much about auto-generated Substack captions? No. They actually did a pretty good job, apart from the names. They called Thriftbooks “Dick Books,” which I think is so good I almost kept it. Tell me how they feel to ya.
DO I KNOW HOW TO START, CONDUCT, AND FINISH AN INTERVIEW? I CAN’T STRESS THIS ENOUGH. NO.
But do I have remarkable people in my life, doing remarkable things?
Like you wouldn’t believe!
Enjoy hearing from Catherine Blass. We talk about teaching, collective trauma (don’t let that scare you away), kick boxing, “self care” (don’t let that scare you away, either!), and living from the neck up/learning not to.
I just think she’s so cool.

Thank you, Catherine, for starting us off so beautifully!
Take care, sweet friends.
With love,
